And now i haz it!
I remembered that the "Priss and the Replicants" (or rather, "Repricants" :) sign was in one of the music videos, so i checked on YouTube, found the right video, and voila! :)

OH hahahahahahaha, "REPRICANTS."

I wonder if in Japan you say "O LRY?"

So would you then have the "O RLY" owl and the "O LRY" cow? :)

(Wonders how to make a cute icon of a cow that is possibly on fire =)

Wow. I'm sure I've seen that sign a dozen times, and it never hit me that it was misspelled.

Yeah, i actually only noticed the misspelling because i saw something in one of the blurbs in the google searches i did looking for the picture :)

Given the threats of a lawsuit about the Nexus One name by the PKD estate, i _almost_ wonder if it was done intentionally in order to avoid copyright claims ;) (At least i presume native japanese speakers are better at distinguishing the difference between the written letters than they are at distinguishing the spoken difference =)

Nah, the L/R thing happens all the damn time in English signs in anime. "BATTELY CHECK" was in frickin' Evangelion, I think, and shows with lower budgets are even less likely to catch it.

Speaking of, if either of you guys get the chance, you should totally check out the new-ish Blu Ray release of BGC (or ripped files thereof, as it's still only available in Japan afaik). You can read tons of random signs and filler computer screen text that was too blurry to see in the earlier transfers, and most of it is completely random 80s rock band references. Fun stuff.
