Happy Thanksgiving
Shawkial and Gwri turned around partway on their way to Shawkial's family's place and came back. Apparently Shawkial was too tired to feel safe driving, and Gwri has been feeling sick and didn't feel up to driving either.

They went and slept for awhile,a nd then came out and ate a Subway sub that they'd bought for the trip apparently.

I'd called my parents earlier and talked to them about plane flight stuff and told them about Allyn and i "breaking up" or whatever you want to call it.

They suggested that i should go out to a restaurant and have a real dinner, but i didn't feel like going out to a restaurant alone and Shawkial and Gwri already had their own food.

I went to the store to buy some french bread so i could have bread and cambozola, but the store had closed at 6. (Which i had suspected it would have, but figured i should at least go check.) So i tried going to Burger King, but they were closed. I drove out to Del Taco, and they were open!

I'm not sure that buying a thanksgiving dinner in the form of tacos and quesadillas and chilli cheese fries at a fast food joint is any less pathetic than going to eat a a sit-down restaurant alone, but it felt a little less depressing.

So that was my thanksgiving. I hope everyone else had a better one.

come to nocal, dammit!
wish you could've come to ours. we invited 10 or 12 people, and we had 4. it was nice, tho, because it's kind of our core family right now...me and robin, my boyfriend, and chiefted, my nesting partner, and butterfly_smile, ted's girlfriend and my friend. there are a lot more folks on the very close perimeter, but to me, the 4 of us are a core.

it was good trying to see if we could be a family. we're a fairly odd one, as normal standards go. but it was cool. afterwards, robin had to go eat another dinner at RA's, one of his other girlfriends. i didn't see how he was going to do it, because he was about to burst after what he ate at C's! then ted, C and i walked down the street to a little cliff that overlooks the beach. the waves are awesome right now from storms.

there was a big fight later, a product of holiday tension, but the first part was good.

i'm sorry things were so bleak for you! i've had bleak thanksgivings in the past, so that means you're going to have some awesome ones in the future.

Tacos and quesadillas and cheese fries... well, hey, at least it sounds like a yummy thanksgiving! ^_^;;

Akiko and I tried making some interesting and/or odd vegetarian things for thanksgiving, which all in all worked out reasonably well. Perhaps I'll get around to writing an entry, or perhaps not. Oh yeah, that reminds me I was gonna reply to your last comment... I'll go do that soon...
