Damn it!
My headphones seem to have developed a loose wire :( The sound to my left ear is starting to cut in and out as i move my head. Hopefully Radio Shack (i think it was Radio Shack...) still has something like the same model, with at least six feet of cable and a physical volume control component spliced into the wire near the headphone end. Dealing with short cables and only being able to adjust the volume by fiddling with software interfaces is annoying.

And in entirely unrelated news, i seem to have bruised the heel of my left hand somehow. Or at least it hurts when i touch it, even though it doesn't look particularly purple. I can't figure out how that could have happened though.

The physical volume control seems to be what *created* the loose connection in my current headphones at work, which experience the same symptoms. :P

In my case the fault seems to be right at where the wire enters the headphones themselves.

Actually, mine are broken there as well. They're kind of dead all around, really.
