I got a package yesterday! Said package contained one PS3 controller and one PS3 memory card adapter, both of which i got for free through the rewards points for my Playstation credit card. Not that that's a huge return for the amount of money i've had to put on the card due to the car related stuff earlier, but it's certainly pretty nice compared to the nothing i would have gotten using my regular card :)

As an extra bonus i also dug around and found a spare ethernet cable to connect my PS3 directly to the network, and now i think i will give myself a small reward for having put in about a day of overtime last week by getting a couple cheap PSN games. (Hey kirinn (or anyone else who's tried out the PS3 DLC) got any recommendations?)

Herewith is every stand-alone game I have actually paid money for on PSN, in alphabetical order:

{ Echochrome - The concept looked awesome, but in actual practice I got kind of frustrated with the fiddliness of positioning the viewpoint and haven't played it a lot.
{ flOw - Barely a game, but kind of relaxing. I like it ok.
{ flower - This is awesome, buy it. You're a floating bunch of petals blooming more flowers and getting bigger like a Katamari of wind. And the level progression is awesome an kind of moving for a game with no dialog or characters whatsoever.
{ MegaMan 9 - It's old-school Megaman. It pulls no punches. I haven't managed to beat it yet.
{ NobiNobiBoy - Completely goofy and aimless self-indulgence from the guy who brought us Katamari. I've had fun, anyway.
{ Linger in Shadows - Straight up "demoscene", like those old Amiga things that exist for no reason but to show off some pretty stuff. But there's a few things to do and it's cheap and weird.

Oh, plus i almost forgot: buy the downloadabe version of Suikoden I, so that they'll actually put Suikoden II up someday. :)

Already had Mega Man 9 for Wii :)

Already played Flow on PC.

Just picked up Flower last night :)

Oh, cool, yeah i should get Suikoden I at some point, since i've never played any of the Suikoden games. I looked through their PSX library, but it was just a quick scan and everything i noticed that i was interested in i already had a physical copy of.

I am enjoying Bionic Commando: Rearmed. It might be described as "new-school platformer" -- the mechanics of the bionic arm are substantially similar to the NES version, but you have a life bar from the start of the game, continues are explicitly unlimited, and there's more than one difficulty level.

Progression around the map is still not-entirely-linear (you can go to any level at any point, but some of them require weapons or other items that you can only get from other levels). The levels have been slightly redesigned, and the bosses have had some more redesign.
