Squarenix has just announced Dragon Quest 9, which isn't a big surprise. However it's going to be for the DS. And it's going to be an action RPG. The DS part is cool, not so sure about the action bit. Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime was a lot of fun with the action format, but that's really not what i'm expecting from a mainline DQ.
