Two interesting (to me at least) little bits of trivia i picked up today. The characters Valjean and Javert are both based off of the same real life person. And the Tori Amos song "Tear in Your Hand" has a reference to Neil Gaiman in it, "If you need me, me and Neil'll be hanging out with the Dream King, Neil said hi by the way" Apparently there are a lot of references back and forth between the two of them but that was the first one on her end.

Good excuse to say in passing, Death is totally hot. And, of course, based on Tori. Yeah. Ummm. I'm just going to sit in this corner and drool, now.

Funny, Geoff (the other one, obviously) came across the Neil Gaimam/Tori Amos connection about a year ago (along with the song reference). I had always wondered about that particular line, and was glad to be enlightened.

Now I have that song in my head...

Yeah, Neil and Tori have been friends for a long time. One of the bits in his newest short story collection is some stuff he did for the liner notes of an album of hers.
