Yay games
I just realized that a whole bunch of cool games just came out or are coming out soon.

Civilization 4 comes out this week. I'm really looking forward to it, except that i'm worried i'll need to get a new computer to be able to play it =/

Fire Emblem: Path of Radience (GameCube) is out, saw a little of this at ComicCon and it looked pretty cool.
Shadow of the Collossus (PS2) the "sequel" to Ico, is also out. I haven't heard much about what exactly it's about but i want to get it just based on the lineage :)

and i've been meaning to pick up Makai Kingdoms (PS2) as well, but haven't gotten around to it. And listening to jmpava and neonelephant talk about Suikoden 3 and Star Ocean 3 is making me want to play them as well =P

Of course it's not as if i don't have enough old games i need to play. Speaking of which, since i've been having trouble getting back into Baten Kaitos i've decided to give Tales of Symphonia a try. Bad me.

Tell me about it. The game I'm looking forward to is TES IV: Oblivion, which looks like it will have my computer for breakfast.

Heh, i had to google it before i could figure out what game you were talking about :) I keep hearing about that series from people though so perhaps i should add it to the long list of games to eventually play =P

Heh, I shoulda linked it. Seriously, try Morrowind. It's so good it's mind-boggling. Possibly the most open-ended RPG ever, and pretty as hell to boot.

I'm very much looking forward to Civ 4, too. But as far as I know, there aren't even plans for a Mac version, so my only new-ish computer won't be able to play it. Kim's been needing a new computer anyway (her old one is getting unreliable), so that will probably be the way we go eventually. But it won't be for a while: I'm in crunch time for preparing postdoc applications and the research to support them, and there's absolutely no way that I could afford to look at Civ right now. :P Maybe in a couple months...

Yeah, i don't really have an abundance of free time either. Far too many games and books, far too little time after work =P

I recently picked up Shadow of the Colossus, and only had time to play the first "scene", more or less, before leaving on a trip. But... so awesome! so gorgeous! Living up to its predecessor, so far. And I'm already totally in love with my horse. Remember how Yorda was kind of refreshing as an NPC just for not being completely dumb? Yeah, the horse is like that.

Yorda is like a horse? That's not a very nice thing to say! ;)
