Namco submited the game today to all the various people it needs to be submited to.

So we're at work today, but i've been spending all day reading webpages and playing GBA games, one officemate has been reading webpages and watching Star Trek episodes, and the other officemate has been playing FPS PC games :)

We also took a break from all the websurfing and game playing and tv watching so we could go take a long lunch. When we got back to work our boss called us into his office so he could give us Spawn toys and posters signed by Todd McFarlane :)

Days like this go a little way towards making up for the several month of crunch time with no days off, but only a little =P

Go to college and get a degree in computer science, specializing in graphics would help (linear algebra especially, even if you don't manage the graphics bit,) as would a good knowledge of physcis.

Be willing to work for about 2/3rds or 3/4ths the amount you would get for a normal programmer salary, and spend seven days a week at work, about 100 hours a week total, for at least a month or two during crunch times, and be willing to give up saturdays and spend about 60 hours a week at work for at least few months leading up to that.

And of coruse be lucky enough to break into the field in the first place. Once you've gotten your first job in the games industry the rest are a lot easier.

college is sooo hard -.-
Whatever happened to the days when girls got married off at thirteen? Life would be so much simpler if I died in childbirth.
