darkness

Oops

I was tossing and turning a fair bit last night. I normally alternate between curling up against shelleycat and curling up against the wall (or rather, the bookshelves lined up against the wall,) but i was being a bit more active about it this time, i think probably because i couldn't breathe through my nose.

At one point i managed to toss and turn my head directly into the the bookshelves. I went "ow" and then went back to sleep.

This morning shelleycat asked me "why do you have blood on your forehead?" =P

Actually it's not that much blood, just a path about a centimeter wide and two or three centimeters long. And once i washed the bits of crusted blood off it's just a kind of bright pink patch. Still, more blood that you usually expect to find on your head when you wake up in the morning :)

I've been avoiding the twitter thing for a long time. My main reason for avoiding it was that i didn't have a way of doing updates when i wasn't at my computer, and when i was at my computer i might as well just make an LJ post. Of course some people might view it as a downside that i spam their friends list with lots of posts. (And a lot of _those_ people might very well have removed me from their regular reading filter =)

On the other hand, i actually wish other people would post short bits to LJ more often just to give me stuff to read and reply to :) (Keep up the good fight sithjawa! ;) I kind of suspect that twitter may be responsible for the decline in those kinds of posts.

On the third hand (hey, where'd that come from?) a lot of my friends do twitter posts, and there would be a certain advantage to keeping track of what they have to say without depending on them rebroadcasting those thoughts in another medium.

Now however i actually have a smartphone, so i could theoretically make use of twitter. However now there's also buzz. Of course with the Nexus One it's not that hard to make LJ posts directly from my phone. There may even be an app for that :)

So poll time! :)

I'm sure i missed a lot of potential names, go ahead and list your favorites

(In this circumstance "pseudo-anonymous " and "private" are used in the same sense that this LJ is private and not obviously linked to my real life identity.)

Edit: *headdesk* When coming up with the names i went ".... Mist, Fog, wait, can't use Mist, 'Mist' has already been used before, even if it wasn't as a character name." And then i went and deleted "Fog" instead of "Mist" =P Oh well, no way to fix it now.
