Damn it, i missed armageddon

You know how it always seems like the really cool full solar eclipses are never where you can see them? Well apparently now they can tell us in advance about the really cool meteors that we won't be able to see =P

There is/was supposed to be car-sized, one kiloton of energy releasing asteroid immolating itself into meteoric dust in the atmosphere somewhere over Africa sometime in the last hour, or possibly the next hour (i'm not sure about the GMT conversion and no one has confirmed that it's actually happened yet.) Needless to say we weren't able to see anything at all of it in the US, but in the areas where they could they were saying it would be (briefly of course) about as bright as a full moon.
