Web Activism or Web Vandalism or just Web Wasting Your Time?

Got this from clary:

"Follow the link below to take action on this important issue. Go to http://www.afa.net/petitions/businesses/businesses.asp

"Here's another chance to tip the scales of this VERY HOMOPHOBIC group's own survey. The AFA (American Family Association) is expecting an overwhelming majority of respondents to say that they would be 'less likely' to do business with a company if they knew it supported the "homosexual agenda" - whatever that is. So far, they are getting the results they seek. Of course, they are only sending it where they will get the expected results.

"Let's change the outcome by completing the one-question survey and sending it to everyone we know who is tired of this archaic and hateful way of thinking.

"Through various organizations in my school, this particular issue was brought to my attention, and I realized that getting this out onto the internet where everyone can see it should help balance everything out. I don't know tons of people, but I've got friends, who have friends, who have friends. Please pass this along and vote, so that all opinions are represented, not just the ones that the AFA want to see."

Well i've done my part, the score is now:

If a corporation supports the homosexual agenda, you would:
Be more likely to do business with that company. 6,238
Be less likely to do business with that company. 188,722
It would not affect my buying decision. 3,946

It'll take quite a lot of forwarding before we catch up with that =/

(And i'm sure everyone i know is web-savy enough to figure it out without saying, but if you actually put real info in the form at least make sure to use an email address that's already made its way onto the spammers' lists. There's no privacy policy and i for one don't trust the AFA worth a damn.)

Movies coming out this year that i'd definitely like to see, or might like to see depending on reviews and stuff:

May 4: Spider-Man 3
May 18: Shrek the Third (I'm a bit leary, but 2 was pretty good once you got past the stupid psychology bit)
May 25: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
July 4: Transformers (!!!)
July 13: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (of course =)
August 10: Stardust (It's Gaiman so it must be good, right? =)
September 28: The Dark is Rising (one can hope)
December 7: His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass (What is this, dark children's literature at the movies year?)

Is there anything else obvious i'm missing? I thought there was some other stuff but i can't think of it now. (The Simpsons and the new Fantasitic Four movie _might_ be good, but i'm not counting on it. I haven't even gotten around to see the first Fantstic Four movie yet.)

And i'd _still_ like to see TMNT even though it's been out for awhile.

So anyone else local who's interested in seeing any of those and wouldn't mind some company should let me know about it :) (Presumably a some point closer to the actual releases of course =)
