Hobble like a pirate day! (aka running and hurting)
Blaaaaaargh! When i started running yesterday my left foot hurt for a couple steps, but then it went away, so whatever. Then when i got home i did some laundry, grabbed some food and sat down on the couch. When i got up an hour or so later my left foot was hurting again when i put weight on it, but it went away after a little bit. Then this morning when i got up my left foot hurt when i put weight on it, but it went away after a little bit. And now if i sit at my chair for awhile and then get up my left foot hurts when i put weight on it, but it goes away after a little bit.

Oh yeah, and this is the third or fourth time that's happened. Go running, left foot hurts intermitently, left foot feels like its better, go running again, repeat.

Perhaps this time i ought to take a slightly longer break to see if i can get whatever it is to go away permenately, but i feel bad about interupting my current progress in Zombies 5k =P

On the plus side, it seems like the toe socks helped with the blister thing at least a little bit. I may also try the powder thing next time (whenever that is) but i'm somewhat dubious about that. Putting powder in your shoes before running just seems like the fast track to turning them into a sticky muddy mess.

But in any event, here's my run from yesterday:

Amber's favorite language to use when playing Minecraft is "pirate." I find it really amazing that she can navigate the menus better than I can.

I had no idea you could switch languages in the game, i'll have to try that :)

The hurting when it stands up and then going away is what I had when I had Plantar fasciitis, but I suppose there are probably other causes especially since you've been running. Does it hurt on the bottom of your foot or at your heel, or somewhere else?

I found that light stretching that included my Achilles tendon and back of my calf and flexing my foot on a pretty regular basis did a lot to address the pain. Might want to try that (since easy stretching shouldn't hurt anything as long as doing it isn't hurting you) and then follow up with a doctor if it doesn't help?

I'm not entirely sure since it's been awhile since it was hurting consistently, but i think it's the middle of the left side, maybe the upper part of the middle left side? Or maybe it's just a little _in_ from the middle of the left side which i'm interpreting as the top part of my foot.
