Friday Fun Stuff
It's time again for a "look at the cool stuff that's on sale!" post.

GOG is doing a 50% off sale on Atari games this weekend. Which in particular means things like Star Control 2, Master of Orion, Master of Magic, and a lot of other games that i'm not that familiar with. (Although i keep hearing good things about Roller Coaster Tycoon, which seems odd.) And yes, i know you can get Star Control 2 for free from SourceForge, but if you really like the game it wouldn't hurt to show GOG a little love for promoting it :) Also, GOG has a new free game available called Treasure Adventure Game. I haven't actually tried it, but he screenshots kind of make it look like Pitfall crossed with Terraria.

Also, Steam is doing a sale on Squidix games, but it's mostly the new stuff that i don't care too much for. But if you really want FF11 or the latest Deus Ex or Dungeon Siege games, i guess this is the time to get them. (Well, until they drop the price and then have another sale =)

Also also, the PSN store has a sale on Final Fantasy games, some PSP and some PSOne emulated. If you go over to the movie section they also have a "50% Off Final Fantasy Inspired Movies & TV Shows," which i don't get. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be things inspired by Final Fantasy or things that inspired Final Fantasy, but either way it doesn't work. The movies showing on the right don't seem to have any relationship at all, and they also don't seem to be 50% off. If there is an actual list of FF related movies that are actually on sale i can't seem to get to it.

Ahh, all the good old atari=published games I sat on your dorm room floor and watched you play. ;) I was just reading some StarCon 2 stuff recently... and now I'm suddenly thinking, can someone do a kickstarter for a Toys For Bob-written StarCon 3? It would probably have to be called something else due to the SC name still being owned by others, but last I heard the name was all they really had a lock on...

And the PSN FF sale isn't bad, except I pretty much own all those on PSX discs that still work. (Except the PSP ones of course, which I can't play anyway.)
