Huh
If you've got loud music on and you're bouncing along to it, it's really hard to tell when the vibrations you feel are from you bouncing, and when they're from the earthquake :)

Edit: So was that the 6.9 in Baja California? It seemed a little strong for a 6.9 a few hundred miles away. Maybe they just haven't updated yet?

Edit edit: I am informed that contrary to popular legend, cats make a lousy earthquake warning system. Our cat neither acted strangely beforehand, nor did she seem particularly perturbed when the earthquake was actually happening :)

For the record, I'd like to note that at the time of my comment, you had yet to add the link to your original post ;->

Ha! Beat you to it! ;)

Also, aren't you supposed to be at a con right now? :)

We're doing passover today.

Huh, i had a vague impression that passover was before easter, or did you just relocate it to a convenient time?

I almost forgot since it happened so early this year, but i did remember to celebrate "atheist kids go out easter sunday evening and buy tons of candy at 50% off" :)

It runs a week, actually. That was the day that happened to work for us.

Seconding the cats make lousy warning system. We were all dozing in the beanbag, and Atia simply looked at me because I was sort of woken up by the rumbles. Fiance slept through it entirely.

It's been updated to 7.2. Also, I'm jealous as I missed it by a week.
