Trivial dilemma
In exactly two weeks "By Heresies Distressed," the third book in David Weber's "Safehold" series is supposed to be out, which is awesome. However i'm now thinking that perhaps i should reread, or more precisely re-listen to, the second book, "By Schism Rent Asunder." (I'd be tempted to re-listen to both of the first two books, but i've already listened to the first one at least twice, so that's not really necessary.) The only problem with that is that i just started listening to the second book in Taylor Anderson's "Destroyermen" series, "Crusade," which is about 16 hours long, or a little under 16 days at my regular listening rate. By Schism Rent Asunder is even longer, about 25 hours i think, so even if i stopped with Crusade and started By Schism Rent Asunder right now i'd still have to rush through it. And if i start listening to it while i'm at home then i won't be able to read as much of Sherwood Smith's "Inda," the physical book i'm currently in the middle of. Perhaps i could get some listening done during lunch if i eat quickly and/or just snack at my desk. That would expand my listening time by at least 50%.

Can you speed it up a bit so that you can listen to it faster? Or are you already maxed out at your listening speed?

Unfortunately my mp3 player doesn't have any options like that. I _can_ speed it up if i listen to it with VLC only, but it jumps straight from 1.0 speed to 1.5 speed, which makes it sound like it's being narrated by a chipmunk =P
