oh my god
How can people be so friggin STUPID!?!?!?

"gas guzzling [is] a myth"??? "American's have a right 'to do what we want and buy what we want. Isn't that why we're fighting?'"??? So you can buy cars that get _12 mpg_???

Makes me feel a lot better about my baby-SUV that gets about 23-24 mpg.

I'm also kind of pissed off about the car commercials i've been hearing on the radio about some company deriding another comapny's mini SUVs. Who convinced americans that their cars should be larger than life in all aspects? I like my Rav4 being taller than a normal car, and i like the fact that it has a station wagon type back instead of a trunk. However why would i want my car to be wider, longer, and heavier than everything else out on the roadway?

Yeah, but I can only wish that silly little sports cars were still the penis-extension of choice. They may not have gotten great mileage, but at least you could see past them, unlike today's status symbols.

Well, let's start with the assumptions that Americans are the best people on the planet and therefore deserve (have a right) to do whatever they want. This is, of course, false.

Of course, this moron who writes a weekly column in the student paper had one very good, salient point one week. The people who make those statements ("I deserve to drive an SUV" etc) are funding the Taliban and terrorist activities in the middle east. How? Well, where does the oil that powers the gas guzzler come from? Mostly from the arab nations in the middle east. Gee. I wonder if these dumbfucks ever thought of that one.

Well that's not true actually, or only half so at least. The Al-Queda was funded second-hand by oil. (Bin Laden's got his money from his family's construction company, which presumably was carried along with the oil-fulled mid-east economic boom) However the Taliban was funded mostly by heroin. So the SUV drivers only need to take responsibility for the terrorists, the Taliban is the responsibility of the druggies ;)

If you want a more direct link though, why not go straight for the fact that the US government funded and trained the rebels that eventually coalesed into the Taliban and other groups? =/
