It is very wet here. Also, the Burlington Coat factory is full of suck =P Two racks of very disorganized and rather expensive for the quality suck in fact.

The army surplus store had one trench coat that would have kind of worked, but it was about $140 and not really anywhere close to the right size =P

So i’m thinking of risking the shopping online thing, and getting either the “real” canvas duster in black or brown for $70, the brown suede jacket for $130, or possibly this black leather duster for $100.

Porfinn has a point though that when ordering stuff online that really ought to be sized then perhaps cheaper is better.

If you get a cheap one, the secondary advantage is that you'll probably be less worried about modifying it, if you want to go that route.

True, i am kind of leaning towards the cheap canvas one if they can actually ship it in time. That still leaves the question of black vs. brown. If i was actually going to modify it for steampunk stuff then brown would probably be better...

Have you tried Aaardvarks? They tend to have lots of selection. Though, I'm not sure if they'd have what you want. If you're really that desperate, you could also try a Salvation Army.

It's Christmas season. Stores like that are likely to be suck because people rifle through everything.

Which one? Sticking it into google maps results in "Aardvark's," "Aaardvark's Odd Ark," and "Aardvark's Vintage Clothing."

Unfortunately i don't have that much time to wander around looking for stuff before i leave for home =/

I could understand it being a little messed up, but there was only two racks of long coats. They were fairly big racks (20 feet long maybe?) and double sided, but there were at least 8 racks of short mens coats. And annoyingly the amount of total space dedicated to coats was significantly less than half the floor space, which is kind of dumb for a place with "coat" in the name =P
