If i'm in a hurry in the morning and don't manage to wash all the conditioner out of my hair it's a little slimy and icky when trying to dry and comb it right afterwards, however after it finishes drying out it seems just fine, and it fact it may even be behaving better than normal in the afternoon. I wonder if i should start "accidentally" not washing it out completely on a regular basis or if it's one of those things that doesn't matter once in awhile but will start to get bad if repeated frequently.

Lots of people use "leave-in conditioners", so it should be fine.

hmm, i wonder how much more they charge for the "leave-in" type, and if there's actually any difference between the two types at all :)

So long as you wash your hair thoroughly before putting conditioner in (which I presume you do), it should be fine. The only problems I've run into doing that is if you don't all of Day 1's conditioner out before putting Day 2's conditioner in, you eventually get build-up and it's icky sticky. But if you get all of the prior day's conditioner out before re-conditioning, it's fine.

Ahh, you actually do that? So does it seem to help your hair or is it just my imagination?

Yeah -- it makes the hairstrand more slick, so it's less likely to tangle, and heavier, so it's less likely to get flyaway and weird.
