Note to self: You can pack the boxes of books very densely, or you can carry two boxes of books at a time. You can not do both, because you are a wuss =P

I had some book sized boxes filled with books that I wanted to ship via the USPS (media mail), and came really close to exceeding the weight limit for boxes (70 lbs). So if you can't carry two densely packed boxes of books, don't feel too bad (that you can't carry 140 lbs in a not-terribly-convenient shape).

I doubt they were _that_ heavy. Maybe 20, 25 pounds each, so about 50 for the two. No, i don't feel bad at all about not being able to budge 140 pounds, 50 i should be able to handle though if i was in decent shape =P

I used to pack half a box with books then pile the other half of the box with stuffed animals so that I wouldn't have really heavy boxes, and also so the bottom wouldn't fall out in transit.

That's pretty much what i ended up doing, though i had to combine box types since each individual box had pretty consistent contents.
