Every calendar year has at least one Friday the 13th.
57% of all calendar years have more than one Friday the 13th.
No calendar year has more than three Friday the 13ths.
14% of all calendar years have three Friday the 13ths. The next time this will happen will be 2009, when February, March and November will all have a Friday the 13th.

Oh yeah, and the thirteenth of the month (not this month, just any month in general) is more likely to be a Friday than any other day of the week.

:curious: why is that thirteenth has a higher chance of falling on a friday during the month?

Well, first of all, maybe "chance" and "more likely" are bad choices of words. It's not exactly random chance, after all. I should've said the 13th falls on a Friday more often than any other day of the week.

Now, for the real answer to the question: The Gregorian calendar exactly repeats itself every 400 years -- the same days of the same months fall on the same days of the week for any two years 400 years apart. This is the shortest period of time for which this can be said to always be the case. (Because 400 years is an exact number of weeks -- 20871 weeks, to be exact.) Of course, there are 4800 months in this period. If you count up the months, there are 687 months in which the 13th falls on a Sunday, 685 times on a Monday, 685 times on a Tuesday, 687 times on a Wednesday, 684 times on a Thursday, 688 times on a Friday, and 684 times on a Saturday.
