I just registered for Anime Expo and WorldCon/ChiCon, yay! Hopefully the WorldCon registration will straighten out my broken membership number/pin for the Hugo packet.

Speaking of which, hey akiko, you were talking about reading through the Hugo packet earlier. Have you gotten to the novels yet? You may have already figured this out, but Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant's "Deadline" is the sequel to "Feed", and i'd strongly suggest you read that first if you haven't already. And "Feed" itself was nominated for a Hugo last year, so it's totally worth it :)

And as long as i'm asking questions, do you know when you guys are planning on getting to and leaving WorldCon? The webpage says it runs form Thursday to Monday, but the schedule and program aren't up on the website yet and i'm wondering if there's really that much happening on thursday.

I got Among Others in paperback for my birthday, so I read that a little while ago. I'm going to pass on Feed & Countdown, because I hate horror and I hate zombies. I'm also taking a pass on book 549072 in the Game of Thrones series. So I only have 2 novels to read, which is exciting.

We're getting in Thursday afternoon and leaving Monday afternoon. There's probably something small going on Thursday night, and there's the night at the planetarium which I think was Thursday...
