Diet thing  
So this morning i weighed 195.0, almost the exact same as i weighed last week, and the week before that. I'm totally not making any progress on this thing =P

I'm also totally failing left and right at week 5 of the push-up thing. I moved on to day 2 after failing day 1 twice, and it seemed a little easier, but i still failed. I guess i'll just keep repeating it until i manage to finish it?

Speaking of exercise though, hey doctorskuld! Now that you're done with your trip and i'm done with my trip, want to do rock climbing again on sunday? :)

Yeah, week 5 is really tough. I went on vacation, and then had to go back to week 4, which wasn't difficult. But man, week 5 is a struggle. I think you just have to grit your teeth and try your damndest.

Yeah, let's do Sunday at Rockreation again. 3pm, as usual?

And yeah, i'm not sure if it's better to keep trying week 5 or go back to week 4, but one way or another i'll keep at it :)

Not that I'm any kind of fitness expert, but it occurs to me that given you're currently doing regular push-ups and semi-regular climbing, you may be adding muscle weight in new places that's offsetting a bit of loss elsewhere.

What he said. An inch of muscle weighs more than an inch of fat. Muscle is denser.

Throw out your scale. No, seriously. Get rid of it. Judge by whether your clothes are tighter, looser, or the same.

Well judging by my clothes nothing at all has changed, so that pretty much agrees with the scale.

Well that's a nice thought, but my scale shows the amount of fat i've got, and i've checked and it's doing the electrical impedance thing and not just calculating the BMI based on expected values. And according to it i lost 2 lbs of fat in the first week, and then about one pound over the next three weeks (compared to 1.5 lbs of total weight.) So it doesn't seem like i'm accomplishing much by that measurement either =P
