Weekend stuff
So, as things currently stand i don't have any plans at all for sunday. Barring anyone deciding they want to hang out, what game should i start playing this weekend? (Or, you know, what game should i start playing next even if it doesn't happen this weekend?)

What game should i start this weekend?

Bastion
0(0.0%)
From Dust
0(0.0%)
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
1(16.7%)
Journey
0(0.0%)
Mass Effect
4(66.7%)
Portal 2
1(16.7%)

So aside from games my plan for the weekend involves getting to the RenFaire around 10 am on saturday and hanging out with balivatn and dannonsarisa for 2-4 hours, then driving over to Claremont and hanging out with 2gouda4u and thegreatgonz and beth_leonard and jon_leonard and whoever else is around for the rest of the day. On the one hand it seems a little silly that i've scheduled hanging out with two different groups of friends on the same day, but on the plus side the RenFaire and alumni weekend are both in the same neck of the woods, so at least it cuts down on driving time :)

Portal 2 is the one I'm even remotely familiar with. And? JoCo does the song for it.

To ask the question is to know the answer.

I don't have a mass effect icon. Why don't I have a mass effect icon? Ok, you get kitties instead. I'm sure you're crushed.

I've finally been going through Mass Effect, and I am really impressed with the level storytelling that has gone into the games. It may end badly, according to the internets (I'm only halfway through the third one), but thus far I think Mass Effect really stands out as transcendent of the RPG genre. BioWare has put a lot of world-building, a lot of planning, a lot of construction into a story that is both immersive and emotionally compelling. The way that they make you feel like your actions have consequences in their world is really stands out from every other RPG I've played.

It's a classic sci-fi storyline, and extremely well-executed, especially in the first two games.

I would seriously recommend going through the Mass Effect series, even over Portal 2, which I completely adore.

Oh the rest of the game is fine too, and wraps up the entire series nicely.

But for some reason there are 10 minutes more on my save then I can bring to active recall. I'm sure nothing important happened. It r a mystery. But, hey, choose your own ending!

(This comment mostly made so I can say nyah, I stole Cora's icon).

It was great to see you. I was way too sleep deprived going into it though and felt a little scattered. We're already making plans for how to do next year differently. The kids slept 15 hours last night.
